The /report option
I believe that the /report feature that was recently added to Guild Wars is putting the PVP gameplay in jeopardy.
If a player sees that there whole backline is demolished and the enemy team has no Death Penalty a player should be able to leave to save time in my opinion. An example would have occured in one of my Random Arena teams earlier today: A protection monk on my team was running around for the remainder of the timer after our party was defeated. Now, if we could have left the battle without having our accounts in danger we could have saved five minutes.
I believe that there is a good chance that a lot of players will be doing this and the people who havn't been playing HA for years and are not rank 3++ will have no chance to PVP, or get a party in under 30 minutes..so how are casual players supposed to have fun in PVP with this feature if for half the time they are waiting for some person in there party refusing to /resign or die?
Also, now players are acting scared to talk during PVP matches, I do not know about PVE because of the possibility of getting /reported. I like the old system a lot better since it made players go out of their way to report players so only major offenses were reported.
I have not explored the PVE side of the /report feature, but I do not see too many advantages too it.
The only advantage I can think of is to avoid players who do not have a healer in there party to leave so that they don't have to lose to a team who has a healer in PVP. Also, it will make sure players who have lives do not leave during a battle until they lose, so they lose there life.
Thank you for reading my post, Abraham.
